Engibex, a dynamic Belgian engineering consulting firm, seeks an E-Powertrain Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on powertrain electrification roadmap development for a leading OEM.

The role involves creating powertrain simulation models, system-level analysis, and presenting results to internal teams and clients, with close collaboration across motor, electronics, control, and energy storage engineering domains.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical/Mechatronics or Control Engineering with initial experience in powertrain modelling and control.
• Analytical and critical thinking required for design optimization and results interpretation.
• Experience or strong interest in hybridization/electrification of machinery is a strong asset.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape for simulation and analysis.

Responsabilités

• Create powertrain simulation models for hybrid/electric powertrains.
• Perform system-level simulation and analyze results.
• Compile and present results to team and client.
• Evaluate design trade-offs and make recommendations to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with motors, power electronics, control and energy storage engineers to optimize the powertrain.
• Analyse inter-component behavior within the powertrain.
• Knowledge of electric/hybrid powertrain is highly desired.
