AI-Blox | Physical AI computers in Brussels is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop mechanical enclosures and internal layouts for our edge AI hardware.

You will apply GD&T, select heatsinks and TIMs, and create 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, iteration, and collaboration with electronics engineers and international suppliers to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on mechanical design experience.
• Strong CAD proficiency in Fusion 360, Onshape, SolidWorks or NX.
• Experience with electronics integration, IP and EMI considerations.
• Prototyping and testing mindset; iterative design.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical enclosures and internal layouts for electronic products.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis (GD&T) to ensure proper assembly.
• Select and integrate heatsinks, fans, and TIMs.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Validate and optimize designs through hands-on testing and iteration.
• Drive design reviews and support testing for certification and reliability.
• Contribute to sustainable product development, focusing on longevity and recyclability.
• Collaborate with suppliers during prototyping and manufacturing processes.
• Work with electronics engineers and product designers for seamless integration.
