AI-Blox in Brussels is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design mechanical enclosures and internal layouts for electronic products. You will apply GD&T, manage tolerances, and select thermal components to ensure reliable assembly and performance.

You will create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs, validate designs through hands-on testing, and collaborate with electronics engineers and international suppliers to deliver sustainable, manufacturable hardware.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience in electronics/embedded/industrial products.
• Strong CAD skills across multiple platforms.
• Solid GD&T and tolerance stack-up knowledge.
• Experience with IP/EMI considerations and environmental constraints.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical enclosures and internal layouts for electronic products.
• Apply tolerance stack-up analysis (GD&T) for reliable assembly and manufacturing.
• Select and integrate heatsinks, fans and thermal interface materials.
• Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings and BOMs for prototyping and manufacturing.
• Validate designs through hands-on testing, iteration and improvements.
• Drive design reviews and support testing for certification and reliability.
• Collaborate with electronics engineers, product designers and suppliers.
