Job summary

X4 Life Sciences in Antwerp port area is seeking an experienced E&I Construction Supervisor for a short-term, on-site assignment starting early January 2027. You will oversee electrical and instrumentation work by contractors, ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance in a live chemical environment.

This role requires strong permit-to-work knowledge, English and Dutch language ability, and the ability to coordinate between contractors, engineering teams and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as E&I Construction Supervisor or similar site role.
• Background in chemical/petrochemical/oil & gas preferred.
• Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise E&I construction work on site and coordinate with contractors.
• Explain, coordinate and check work permits with site crews.
• Ensure work meets safety rules, permit-to-work procedures and quality standards.
• Check installations against drawings and specs (cabling, terminations, instrumentation).
• Raise, track and close out punch-lists and non-conformances.
• Act as link between contractors, client's engineering/commissioning teams and operations.
• Report progress and flag risks early.
