Amaris Consulting in Belgium is seeking an IT Specialist, Laboratory Systems to manage GMP and non-GMP laboratory systems used by the Quality Control and MSAT teams in a regulated environment.

You will provide day-to-day IT support across laboratory software, servers, workstations, infrastructure, maintenance, validation, troubleshooting, and upgrades. This role emphasizes data integrity, regulatory compliance, system security, and business continuity in ICH/GxP contexts.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and supporting laboratory IT systems, IT infrastructure, Windows Server, desktops, workstations, and business applications.
• Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, antivirus solutions, remote administration, Active Directory, and general IT infrastructure.
• Basic scripting knowledge including DOS command line and PowerShell with practical experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Microsoft OS and applications.
• Knowledge of computerised-system validation and qualification methods; GMP, GAMP 5, and 21 CFR Part 11 familiarity is welcome.
• Structured, organized, and able to create clear technical documentation, installation procedures, architecture specs, and maintenance records.
• Service-oriented and independent with strong communication skills; Dutch and English proficiency; relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Manage servers, desktops, workstations, laboratory software, and related IT infrastructure supporting QC and MSAT activities.
• Define, develop, document, and maintain installation and configuration procedures for client-server and other laboratory applications; review GMP validation procedures.
• Support laboratory system validation and implementation by defining configurations and preparing requirements, architecture, design specs, and installation instructions.
• Plan and perform maintenance, upgrades, archiving, security, recovery, and disaster-recovery activities, including recovery tests.
• Conduct system performance reviews and troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, network, and application issues; provide first- and second-line support.
• Collaborate with QC, MSAT, Validation, QA, Digital teams, international colleagues, suppliers, and third parties while ensuring GMP procedures compliance.

As an IT Specialist, Laboratory Systems, you’ll manage and support GMP and non-GMP laboratory systems used by the Quality Control and Manufacturing Science and Technology teams.

You’ll provide day-to-day IT support and project assistance across laboratory software, servers, workstations, infrastructure, maintenance, validation, troubleshooting, and system upgrades. You’ll also help ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, system security, and business continuity in a regulated laboratory environment.

Your missions

• Manage servers, desktops, workstations, laboratory software, and related IT infrastructure supporting QC and MSAT activities.
• Define, develop, document, and maintain installation and configuration procedures for client-server and other laboratory applications. Review and approve GMP procedures for validation use.
• Support laboratory system validation and implementation by defining configurations, supporting application installations, and preparing requirements, architecture, design specifications, and installation instructions.
• Plan and perform maintenance, upgrades, archiving, security, recovery, and disaster-recovery activities, including periodic recovery tests.
• Conduct system performance reviews and troubleshoot hardware, software, operating-system, network, and application issues. Provide first- and second-line support.
• Work with QC, MSAT, Validation, QA, Digital teams, international colleagues, suppliers, and third parties while ensuring compliance with corporate, local Digital, and GMP procedures.

Your profile

• Experience managing and supporting laboratory systems, IT infrastructure, Microsoft operating systems, Windows Server, desktops, workstations, and business applications.
• Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, antivirus solutions, remote administration, Active Directory, and general IT infrastructure.
• Basic scripting knowledge, including DOS command line and PowerShell, with practical experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft operating systems and applications.
• Knowledge of computerised-system validation and qualification methods is an advantage. Good knowledge of GMP, GAMP 5, and 21 CFR Part 11 is also appreciated.
• Structured, well organised, and comfortable creating clear technical documentation, installation procedures, architecture specifications, and maintenance records.
• Service-oriented and independent, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You can communicate clearly in both Dutch and English. Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus.
