Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Deputy System Director for the Railway Signalling sector. You will lead systems engineering and design activities, define architectures and roadmaps, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver safety-critical railway solutions.

The role requires extensive experience in systems engineering, MBSE, and a strong grasp of railway standards. Fluent English and French are expected, with opportunities to influence technical direction and drive innovative concepts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 15+ years of Systems Engineering / Systems Design experience.
• Experience in safety-critical products, ideally railway.
• Strong knowledge of Systems Architecture and MBSE.
• Knowledge of ERTMS / rolling stock is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering and design activities.
• Define and oversee system architectures and development roadmaps.
• Coordinate engineering, verification, validation and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with technical requirements and applicable standards.
• Guide and support systems engineering teams.
• Contribute to technical solutions and proofs of concepts when needed.
