Job summary

Space Applications Services NV/SA is seeking a Defense Training Designer & Developer to design, develop, and deliver professional and technical training for defence, security, and related high-tech domains. You will transform requirements into engaging learning experiences across classroom, virtual, blended, and self-paced formats.

This role suits an early-career to mid-level learning professional with instructional design expertise and hands-on training development experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Aerospace or another technical discipline.
• 2 to 6 years of experience in training design, learning development or instructional design.
• Experience designing and developing technical training materials for professional audiences.
• Good knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies and/or equivalent pedagogical frameworks.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and learner-centred design approaches.
• Experience developing classroom, virtual and blended learning solutions.
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse training requirements, target audiences, and learning objectives.
• Design training solutions for classroom, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning environments.
• Apply instructional design methodologies to create effective learning experiences.

• Support pilot sessions, training evaluations, and learner feedback activities.

Job description

We are looking for a Defense Training Designer & Developer to support the design, development and, where appropriate, delivery of professional and technical training programmes in defence, and security (as well as space and other high-technology domains).

Working closely with project managers, civilian or military subject matter experts, instructors and multimedia specialists, you will transform training requirements into engaging learning experiences, including classroom, virtual, blended and self-paced solutions. This role is ideal for an early-career to mid-level learning professional who combines sound instructional design knowledge with hands-on training development experience.

• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts, instructors and project managers.

• Professional working proficiency in English.
