Job summary

European Defence Agency in Brussels seeks a Project Officer Defence Test and Evaluation on a Seconded National Expert basis. You will lead and coordinate European test capabilities, align with national test centres, and drive harmonised certification and standardisation efforts within the PSII domain.

The role requires extensive defence TE experience, an engineering or related degree, and excellent English. Secondment details and a three-year term are provided with a reserve list process.

Qualifications

• University degree (or equivalent) in a field relevant to the post.
• At least eight years of relevant professional experience in Defence Test and Evaluation.
• Thorough knowledge of qualification and/or certification processes and standardisation frameworks.
• Good knowledge of the EU institutional framework, CSDP and capability development.
• Excellent written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage full-spectrum Test and Evaluation capabilities across Europe.
• Coordinate with national test centres and EDA projects.
• Implement the Defence Test and Evaluation Base (DTEB) strategy in collaboration with the DTEB Plenary Group.
• Manage the European Database for Test and Evaluation capabilities.
• Advise on harmonised certification requirements for ammunition safety with ENNSA.
• Contribute to standardisation, qualification, and certification actions.
• Support integrated enablers for cooperation: Test and Evaluation, Standardisation and Certification.
• Develop and deliver required studies and take on additional tasks as needed.
