COSMOTE Global Solutions is seeking a skilled Database/Application Administrator to manage and maintain our database and application infrastructure effectively. The role covers administration, tuning, security, and migrations across on-prem and cloud environments.

The candidate will work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server, and collaborate with development and operations teams in an international setting. Strong scripting and automation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in database and application administration.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Implement database and application backup and recovery procedures to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain databases and related application systems ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot database and application environments.

• Manage database security, users, and access controls.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.

Requirements

• Proficient with database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with application servers and middleware technologies.
• Strong understanding of database security, backup and recovery procedures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud database services and migrations.
• Good knowledge of scripting and automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international teams.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
