As a Database Architect at COSMOTE Global Solutions, you will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise database systems that align with business goals and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions to meet organizational needs
• Develop and maintain database architecture documentation, standards, and guidelines
• Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into effective database designs
• Lead initiatives for database optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning
• Evaluate and select appropriate database technologies and platforms including relational and NoSQL databases
• Ensure data security, integrity, and availability across all database environments
• Guide and mentor database administrators and development teams on best practices and architectural standards
• Implement data modeling best practices and ensure alignment with data governance policies
• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in database architecture and recommend improvements accordingly

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 12 years of experience in database design, architecture, and administration
• Strong expertise in relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar technologies
• Proficiency in data modeling techniques including ER modeling, normalization, and dimensional modeling
• Hands‑on experience with database performance tuning, scalability, and high availability solutions
• Familiarity with cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud SQL
• Good understanding of data security best practices and compliance standards
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex database concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
