COSMOTE Global Solutions is seeking a seasoned Database Architect to design and implement enterprise database systems aligned with business goals and technical requirements. You will lead architectural decisions across relational and NoSQL platforms and mentor DBAs and developers to follow best practices.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, capacity planning, data modeling, and ensuring data security, integrity and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in database design, architecture, and administration.
• Strong expertise in relational database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Proficiency in data modeling techniques (ER modeling, normalization, dimensional modeling).
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning, scalability, and high availability.
• Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
• Good understanding of data security and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Develop and maintain database architecture documentation, standards, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into effective database designs.
• Lead initiatives for database optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Evaluate and select appropriate database technologies and platforms including relational and NoSQL databases.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and availability across all database environments.
• Guide and mentor database administrators and development teams on best practices and architectural standards.

• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in database architecture and recommend improvements accordingly.
