PSA Antwerp NV is seeking a Data Scientist to translate operational data into advanced analytics and AI solutions that improve terminal performance, safety, and data-driven decision making. You will work with operations experts, business stakeholders, data analysts and data engineers.

The role emphasizes building predictive models, optimization, and AI-driven solutions, with exposure to Power BI/Tableau, Azure ML, and cloud platforms, fostering prototypes and collaboration to implement

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, AI, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of data science and machine learning experience using Python and SQL.
• Proficient in English and Dutch are required.

• Design and develop advanced predictive models, optimization algorithms, and AI-driven solutions.
• Analyze complex datasets, derive insights, and translate into concrete recommendations.

Description du poste

De Data Scientist vertaalt operationele data naar geavanceerde analytics- en AI - oplossingen die bijdragen aan optimale terminal prestaties, een hogere veiligheid en datagedreven besluitvorming, in nauwe samenwerking met operationele experts, business stakeholders, data-analisten en data-engineers.

Functie:

• Je identificeert opportuniteiten op het gebied van analytics, machinelearning en AI om operationele en bedrijfsmatige uitdagingen doeltreffend aan te pakken.
• Je ontwerpt en ontwikkelt geavanceerde voorspellende modellen, optimalisatiealgoritmen en AI-gedreven oplossingen.
• Je analyseert complexe datasets, identificeert relevante inzichten en vertaalt deze naar concrete en onderbouwde aanbevelingen
• Je ontwerpt, test, valideert en optimaliseert machinelearning- en AI-modellen met het oog op performante en betrouwbare oplossingen.
• Je ontwikkelt prototypes en proof-of-concepts die innovatie stimuleren.
• Je werkt nauw samen met datateams en relevante stakeholders om analytische oplossingen succesvol te realiseren en te implementeren.

Deze rol rapporteert aan de Manager Operational Data & Research.

Profiel:

Opleiding: Master in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, AI, Engineering, of

equivalente ervaring

Ervaring: minstens 3 jaar ervaring in data science en machine learning oplossingen via Python and SQL

Talen: Nederlands & Engels

Technische skills:

• Python, SQL & cloud-based data platforms
• Machine learning, forecasting, optimization & predictive analytics
• Exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model evaluation & explainability
• Data visualization & storytelling met Power BI, Tableau of gelijkaardige tools
