Datashift is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead our data science focus area and guide teams in delivering impactful data science solutions for clients. You will combine business acumen with technical insight to drive innovation and client value.

You will lead growth, engage with stakeholders, and own project outcomes while fostering a collaborative culture and representing the company’s data science vision.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in data & analytics with leadership.
• Experience in building or growing business (services, teams, products).
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics.
• Fluency in Dutch and/or French, and professional English.

At Datashift, we’re looking for a Data Science Manager to lead our data science focus area. You’ll combine business acumen with technical insight to drive innovation and deliver real impact.

Your Role

As Data Science Manager, you will:

• Lead the data science focus area, shaping its growth and strategic direction.
• Engage with clients to understand their challenges and translate them into impactful data science solutions.
• Take ownership of project outcomes, ensuring quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.
• Assess and challenge technical deliverables, understanding the value of different data science approaches without needing to build every model yourself.
• Inspire and support your team, recognizing people as key assets and fostering a collaborative culture.
• Represent Datashift’s data science vision, both internally and externally.

What We’re Looking For

• 6 to 10 years of experience in data & analytics, with a strong focus on data science and leadership.
• Experience in building or growing business (e.g. a services, teams, products).
• Solid understanding of machine learning, AI, and statistical modeling.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with both technical and business stakeholders.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics).
• Fluency in Dutch and/or French, and professional English.
