Job summary

Vlerick Business School seeks a data-savvy administrative talent to join our IT team as Data Officer. You will handle data-related requests, ensure data quality, and translate data into actionable insights for decision-makers.

You will develop training materials, support reporting, and contribute to data projects bridging business needs and technical implementation. Based on our Ghent/Leuven/Brussels campuses with home-office flexibility and regular on-site days.

Qualifications

• Passion for data and data quality.
• Strong customer and results orientation.
• First professional experience in a similar role preferred.
• Familiar with MS Excel, databases and reporting tools; Power BI, MS Dynamics and/or Salesforce a plus.
• Enjoys intersection of technology and business, and is a logical, analytical thinker.
• Team player who can also work autonomously.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Willing to base on campus Ghent, Leuven or Brussels with home office and regular Ghent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on data-related requests to ensure fast, customer-focused service.
• Ensure daily data quality control and consistency checks in databases and data flows.
• Develop learning material to provide training and advice on data applications.
• Focus on data management to report and translate data into business insights.
• Proactively suggest improvements or automation of data processes and visualisation.
• Analyse and provide reports to support decision-making processes at Vlerick.
• Participate in data-related projects acting as a bridge between business needs and technical implementation.
