Description du poste

Data Quality Officer | Region of Waregem

Are you passionate about data quality and eager to play a key role in building a more data-driven organization?

For an international organization in the Waregem region, we are looking for an experienced Data Quality Officer to strengthen their growing Data & IT team.

You will join a team that is actively building and further professionalizing its Data Quality framework. This is more than a purely technical role: you will act as a bridge between business, IT and data, contribute your own ideas and help drive structural improvements across the organization.

Your Role

As a Data Quality Officer, you will be responsible for improving and safeguarding the quality, reliability and integrity of data.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Profiling and analysing data to identify quality issues.
  • Performing root cause analyses and assessing business impact.
  • Defining and monitoring data quality rules, standards and KPIs.
  • Supporting data cleansing initiatives and structural process improvements.
  • Working closely with Data Stewards, business stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Building and monitoring data quality dashboards and reports.
  • Contributing to initiatives around Data Governance, MDM, Data Lineage and Metadata.
  • Helping further develop the organization's Data Quality framework and processes.
  • Supporting data migration and transformation projects, ensuring data is clean, consistent and reliable across systems.

You will also contribute to projects involving ERP and legacy data, where data needs to be analysed, cleansed and prepared for integration into the future data environment.

Who are we looking for?

We are not looking for a purely technical Data Quality specialist. Strong communication, stakeholder management and functional understanding are equally important.

You ideally bring:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Stewardship or a similar role.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying, profiling and analysing data.
  • A solid functional understanding of data and IT.
  • Experience with data quality processes such as profiling, cleansing and quality assessment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to translate complex data insights into a clear story for business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive and independent mindset.
  • Excellent command of English.

Experience with Tableau, Python, Data Governance, MDM, Data Lineage, Metadata or Data Quality tooling is considered a plus.

What can you expect?

You will join an organization where Data Quality is still evolving, giving you plenty of room to contribute ideas, challenge existing processes and help shape the future of the data organization.

In addition, you can expect:

  • A competitive salary package.
  • Company car.
  • Meal vouchers and insurance coverage.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Hybrid working opportunities.
  • 20 vacation days + 12 ADV/WTR days.
  • A collaborative environment where your expertise and ideas have a real impact.
Interested?

Are you an experienced Data Quality professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with stakeholder management and business understanding?

Would you like to join an environment where you can genuinely help build and improve the way data is managed? We would love to hear from you.
