Visser & Van Baars, a Brussels-based insurer, is seeking an experienced Data Project Manager to drive strategic data initiatives from planning through delivery. You will align business, IT and data teams and manage scope, timing and quality.

The role requires several years in data or IT project management, strong stakeholder management, familiarity with Agile and tools like Jira/Asana. A university degree is a plus; PMP/Prince2 is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a PM in Data/BI/Analytics or IT.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with Agile or structured project environments.
• Familiarity with Jira, Asana, MS Project or similar.

Data Project Manager | Brussels ( permanent )

For a growing organisation within the insurance sector, we are looking for an experienced Data Project Manager to help drive strategic data initiatives across the business.

In this role, you will take ownership of projects from initial planning through to delivery. You will bring together business, IT and data teams, keep stakeholders aligned and ensure projects remain on track in terms of scope, timing and quality.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate data and IT-related projects from start to finish
• Define project scope, planning, milestones and deliverables
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders and project teams
• Monitor progress, dependencies, risks and potential issues
• Organise project meetings, steering committees and status updates
• Provide clear reporting to management and key stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery and internal processes
• Ensure projects remain aligned with wider business objectives

Your profile

• Several years of experience as a Project Manager within Data, BI, Analytics or IT
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working in Agile or other structured project environments
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Asana, MS Project or similar
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
• Comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders
• Good understanding of data and analytics environmentsProfessional English and fluent in Dutch or French
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus
• PMP, Prince2, Agile or similar certifications are an advantage
