Pauwels Consulting is seeking a procurement analytics data product owner to drive governance, value, and trust in the data landscape. You will own analytics initiatives, define KPIs, and collaborate with data engineers and BI analysts to deliver high-quality reporting solutions.

Location is Brussels/Antwerp with a hybrid model (3 days onsite). Start ASAP for an initial contract through end-2026, with potential extensions.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of procurement processes and performance management.
• Experience defining and managing KPIs, business metrics, and reporting frameworks.
• Proven track record in managing product roadmaps and backlog prioritization.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytics methodologies.
• Solid understanding of Data Governance, data quality management, and metadata concepts.
• Ability to translate business requirements into actionable analytics initiatives.
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or Data Analytics.
• Fluent in English with Dutch or French as an asset.

Responsabilités

Our client, a global leader in materials technology and sustainable resource management, is undergoing a major digital transformation of its data landscape. A professional is needed to act as the business owner for procurement analytical data products, ensuring governance, business value, and trust. The role focuses on enabling data-driven decision-making through the delivery of high-quality reporting and analytics solutions.

• Define the scope, business value, and roadmap for procurement data products and reporting portfolios.
• Act as the primary business owner for analytics initiatives, prioritizing enhancement requests and bug fixes within the backlog.
• Establish and maintain business definitions, KPIs, data quality standards, and metadata documentation.
• Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to define access rules and data governance requirements.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and drive user adoption through change management and training.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and BI Analysts to translate business needs into technical data products.

• You have a strong understanding of Procurement processes and performance management.
• You possess experience defining and managing KPIs, business metrics, and reporting frameworks.
• You bring a proven track record in managing product roadmaps and prioritization backlogs.
• You have knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytics methodologies.
• You possess a solid understanding of Data Governance, data quality management, and metadata concepts.
• You have the ability to translate business requirements into actionable analytics initiatives.
• You bring a Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or Data Analytics.
• You're a proactive team player with strong stakeholder management and strategic thinking skills.
• You are fluent in English with asset knowledge of Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Data Mesh principles and data product management.
• Experience with Power BI and Azure Data Platform.
• Exposure to AI and data-driven decision-making initiatives.
• Willingness to obtain CSPO, PSPO, or CBAP certifications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Data Fundamentals (DP-900) or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
