Sopra Steria in Belgium invites a Data Insights Consultant to join the Data & AI team, bridging business questions with data solutions.

You will translate requirements, design KPIs and dashboards using Power BI, SQL and other visualization tools, and contribute to governance and self-service analytics.

Hybrid work with client site time; English required; Dutch/French helpful; opportunities for growth with Sopra Steria Academy.

Qualifications

Join our Data & AI team.

You will become part of a multidisciplinary team where data engineering, architecture, AI, analytics, governance and visualization come together. Together, we help clients get more value out of their data: from setting up the right data foundations to building dashboards, analytics solutions and AI use cases that support better decisions.

As a Data Insights Consultant, you will contribute to this by helping clients translate business questions into clear KPIs, reporting requirements and actionable insights. You act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical data teams, ensuring that analytics solutions answer the right questions and create meaningful business value.

You gather and challenge business requirements, facilitate stakeholder workshops and translate reporting needs into user stories, KPI definitions, reporting logic and visual concepts. You use tools such as SQL and Power BI to explore data, validate assumptions and create reports or prototypes that make complex information understandable.

You work closely with Power BI Consultants, Data Engineers, Architects and Governance specialists to ensure that reporting solutions are reliable, feasible and aligned with the wider data landscape. Beyond individual dashboards, you also help clients improve reporting quality, develop self-service analytics and increase the adoption of data-driven ways of working.

Depending on the project, you will combine working from home and our offices with working at client sites. When matching you with a client assignment, we take your home location into account, with the aim of keeping your commute reasonable.

We're looking for a Data Insights Consultant who combines strong analytical capabilities with a consulting mindset. You are comfortable working with business stakeholders and data, and you can translate complex or initially unclear questions into concrete analytics solutions.

You'll have knowledge and experience of the following:

• You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analysis, business analysis, reporting or analytics consulting.
• You have experience gathering and translating business requirements into KPIs, user stories, reporting logic and functional requirements.
• You have hands-on experience with Power BI or another data visualization tool.
• You have good SQL skills and can use data to validate assumptions and answer business questions.
• You understand reporting concepts, data models and the importance of data quality.
• You can create intuitive dashboards and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You are comfortable facilitating workshops and collaborating with stakeholders across different levels of an organization.
• You have experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience with Power BI Service, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau or self-service analytics is a plus.
• You are proficient in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a must.
