Job summary

Quarteom seeks a visionary Data Governance Specialist Junior to drive our data management strategy and lead a high-performing team of data experts. You will define the stream’s roadmap and oversee enterprise-wide governance and regulatory initiatives to maximize data value.

You will partner with senior leadership to improve data quality, integrity, and strategic value of core data assets, while mentoring analysts and data-governance champions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics or engineering.
• Candidates with other quantitative backgrounds with strong analytics knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overarching vision and strategic objectives for their designated data governance stream.
• Lead and mentor a dedicated team of data governance specialists and quality analysts to deliver on stream goals.
• Partner with CoE leadership and senior management to steer company-wide data governance, quality, and regulatory initiatives.
• Roll out enterprise frameworks covering data standards, policies, modeling, and regulatory compliance across business lines.
• Act as the escalation point for critical issues surrounding data protection, compliance, integrity and quality.
• Engage with executive stakeholders to elevate accuracy, trustworthiness and business value of core data assets.

Education

Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics or engineering

PhD advantageous

Job Duties

• Define and execute the overarching vision, strategic direction, and key performance objectives for their designated stream
• Lead and mentor a dedicated team of data governance specialists and quality analysts to deliver on stream goals
• Partner with CoE leadership and senior management to steer company-wide data quality, governance, and regulatory initiatives
• Roll out and champion enterprise frameworks covering data standards, policies, modeling, and regulatory compliance across business lines and tribes
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical issues surrounding data protection, compliance, integrity, and quality
• Engage closely with executive stakeholders across business units to elevate the accuracy, trustworthiness, and business value of core data assets

Knowledge and Skills

• You have at least a Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, mathematics or engineering (a PhD is considered an advantage)
• Candidates with other academic backgrounds with substantial knowledge of analytics are also encouraged to apply
