Pauwels Consulting is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to enhance the reliability and security of data assets. The role focuses on defining and implementing a pragmatic governance framework to ensure regulatory compliance and maximize data value.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in Data Governance and Data Quality, deep knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK, and hands-on experience with Collibra, Informatica or OvalEdge. Fluent in French or Dutch with strong English skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Data Governance and Data Quality management.
• Deep knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK or similar data governance frameworks.
• Practical experience with governance and metadata tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or OvalEdge.
• Proven track record in Change Management and technical documentation within complex environments.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management to align business and IT objectives.
• Fluent in French or Dutch with professional English proficiency.

Our client, a leading organization in the transport sector, is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to enhance the reliability and security of its data assets. The role focuses on defining and implementing a pragmatic governance framework to ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and optimize the value of the organization's data.

• Inventory, map, and classify critical data assets along with their associated flows and dependencies.
• Define and implement data management policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
• Establish data protection requirements and access rules based on classification and the principle of least privilege.
• Facilitate training and awareness sessions to drive the adoption of data governance principles and best practices.
• Ensure data quality, discoverability, and documentation through master data management and lineage modeling.

• 7+ years of experience in Data Governance and Data Quality management.
• Strong understanding of DAMA-DMBOK or similar data governance frameworks.
• Practical experience with governance and metadata management tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or OvalEdge.
• Proven track record in Change Management and technical documentation within complex environments.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to align business and IT objectives.
• You are fluent in French or Dutch with professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of NIS2 regulations and standards such as ISO/IEC 38505, ISO 8000, or GDPR.
• Knowledge of data modeling using UML or Archimate.
• Professional experience within regulated sectors like finance or the public sector.
