Mielabelo is seeking a Data Governance and Data Quality Expert to shape and advance governance frameworks, drive implementation, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote data literacy across the organization.

The role covers governance operating models, glossaries, and data catalogs, with focus on business-IT alignment, change management, and ongoing monitoring of quality, privacy, and governance indicators.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in data governance, information management, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating governance projects and managing programs across business and IT.
• Ability to explain complex regulatory and technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Python and/or SQL.

Responsabilités

• Establish and evolve data governance and data quality frameworks including operating models, roles, glossaries, and catalogs.
• Guide implementation, ensure compliance, and promote data literacy across the organization.
• Engage stakeholders to align governance with business and IT objectives.
• Provide change management: train and coach teams on frameworks and data roles (Data Owner, Data Steward).
• Monitor governance processes, address non-compliance, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee timely governance tasks: document terms, classify data, define quality rules.
• Lead and participate in internal and external data governance communities.

Challenge |

• As a Data Governance and Data Quality Expert in the Data & Analytics team, establish and evolve frameworks, guide implementation, ensure compliance, and promote data literacy.




• Framework Development: Design and improve governance and data quality frameworks covering operating models, roles, governance bodies, glossaries, catalogues, quality, and compliance.




• Stakeholder Engagement: Align governance processes with business and IT objectives and needs.




• Change Management: Support, train, and coach teams in adopting frameworks and data roles, such as Data Owner and Data Steward.




• Process Management: Monitor governance, address non-compliance, and implement corrective actions.




• Operational Oversight: Ensure timely, high-quality governance tasks, including documenting terms, classifying data, and defining quality rules.




• Monitoring & Reporting: Track governance, quality, and privacy indicators; report issues and recommend improvements.




• Community Leadership: Lead and participate in internal and external data governance communities

Casting |

• Proven experience in organisations with >1,000 employees across at least four of these domains: Data Governance Roles & Governing Bodies, Data Quality, Data Protection & Regulatory Compliance, Data Lineage, Business Glossary, and Metadata Management.




• Fluent in Dutch, French and English: Dutch or French native/C1+, the other B2+, and English B2+.




• Availability to work at Ypto NV’s office up to five days per week, as required during the assignment.




• Master’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in these domains. Evaluation will favour proposals that demonstrate the required competencies, requirements and relevant experience clearly and convincingly.




• Experience coordinating data governance projects and working as a Project and/or Program Manager, integrating Business, IT, Legal and Risk teams.




• Experience in data governance and data quality analysis, with the ability to explain complex regulatory and technical topics to non-technical audiences.




• Proficiency in Python and/or SQL.




• Experience with leading data management and governance tools is a strong plus.




• DMBOK, CIGO, AAIM or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
