Ubique Systems is seeking an experienced Functional Analyst – Data to join the Data Team in Belgium, focusing on financial closing and reporting within the B2B energy business.

The role bridges Business, Finance, Operations, Data and IT, translating requirements into functional solutions, data quality controls and sustainable processes. Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Functional Analysis / Data Analysis.
• Proven experience in the Energy / Utilities sector; invoicing experience is an advantage.
• Experience in Finance, particularly financial closing/reporting.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python and Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Dataiku and data processing concepts.
• Understanding of data quality, controls and reconciliation.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical/functional solutions.
• Proactive, hands-on and able to work independently.
• Fluent in English and either French or Dutch.

Responsabilités

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
• Analyse and enhance data processing workflows within the KORE ecosystem.
• Work with Data Engineers and Architects on Dataiku workflows, SQL, Python/PySpark, data transformations and data quality controls.
• Analyse SQL queries, data models and reconciliation logic.
• Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions.
• Validate technical implementations against business and functional requirements.
• Act as SME for business rules and calculation logic.
• Document and validate allocation, metering, pricing and reconciliation processes.
• Ensure consistent business logic across source systems and reporting solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process simplification and improvement.
• Define and maintain data quality, reconciliation and control rules.
• Implement preventive and detective controls.
• Analyse data quality issues and identify root causes.
• Define thresholds, monitoring mechanisms and exception-management processes.
• Support audit readiness through proper traceability and documentation.
• Coordinate functional testing and define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Support UAT and business validation.
• Analyse defects and coordinate resolution with delivery teams.
• Maintain functional specifications, business rules, test documentation and traceability.
• Ensure effective knowledge transfer to Run teams.
• Work closely with Business, Finance, IT and Data stakeholders.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst – Data to join the Data Team supporting projects related to financial closing and reporting within the B2B energy business.

The Functional Analyst will act as the bridge between Business, Finance, Operations, Data and IT, translating business requirements into functional solutions, business rules, data quality controls and sustainable processes. The role requires strong analytical skills, data expertise and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Analysis & Solution Design

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
• Analyse and enhance data processing workflows within the KORE ecosystem.
