Nexeo is seeking a Data Functional Analyst to join the Data Team in Belgium. This role focuses on Metering Data Management, reporting, and Green Energy reporting within the B2B Supply Belgium platform, collaborating across business and IS/Data teams.

You will translate business requirements into technical specs, support data pipelines, and engage with stakeholders across multiple topics, including pricing logic and month-end processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Utilities sector, specifically with Metering/Allocation data.
• Proven experience in Functional Analysis and data Modeling.
• Autonomous, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.

Data Functional Analyst

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Functional Data Analyst to join our "Data Team" within the B2B Supply Belgium business platform. This platform serves B2B customers in Belgium and consists of around 180 people, including 120 on the business side and 60 on the IS and Data side. You will work on various data use cases, including Metering Data Management, customer reporting, and Green Energy Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between product owners and the technical Data Team, ensuring a clear understanding of business requirements.
• Quickly familiarize yourself with the business domain (Metering Data Management) and analyze business requirements to interpret the specs accurately.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications that guide Data Engineers in building data pipelines.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business processes and document functional requirements.
• Plan and organize functional testing and actively manage business validation processes.
• Work with application and data source owners to map out functional data flows, using your technical knowledge and market expertise to ask relevant questions.

Required Skills and Experience:

Must-Have:

• Experience in the Utilities sector, specifically with Metering/Allocation data.
• Proven experience in Functional Analysis and data modeling.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to engage with stakeholders effectively.
• Experience working in Agile methodologies and familiarity with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of the Belgian Utilities Market (ATRIAS).
• Previous experience with utilities market, metering, and allocation data management.
• Familiarity with technical systems like SAP ISU.
• Knowledge of data platform concepts.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
• 5-7 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.

Language Skills:

• Fluent in Dutch or French.
• Fluent in English.
