Sia is a forward-thinking global management consulting group with a robust data science focus. We are seeking a Data Engineer consultant to lead data pipelines, build our internal AI solutions with the French Data Engineering team, and drive DevOps practices across client projects.

You will contribute to cloud architectures on GCP/AWS/Azure, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and server-side Python tooling, while advancing security and governance in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with a strong quantitative component (e.g. Econometrics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance)
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud or Software Engineering
• Good Python level and foundation in other languages; familiar with at least one SQL DBMS (PostgreSQL) and ideally noSQL (MongoDB)
• Familiar with at least one cloud services platform (GCP, AWS, Azure) or strong willingness to learn
• Comfort with Docker, CI/CD automation, and Kubernetes expansion
• Experience with GitLab ecosystem and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Security-focused development with HTTPS, OAuth2, credentials management
• Strong interest in data/AI and client-focused outcomes
• Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills
• Excellent English, Dutch & French verbal and written skills

Responsibilities

• Shape and grow the Data Science engineering function within a flat, entrepreneurial team
• Build data pipelines and ETL scripts for Big Data environments
• Develop server-side tools in Python and REST APIs
• Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployments across client sites
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and security best practices
• Collaborate across teams to deliver ML models and data solutions
