Orange Business seeks a Data Engineer to develop, model, test, and deploy data solutions across cloud platforms, enabling data-driven insights. You will work closely with business teams to design scalable data pipelines and dashboards, ensuring data quality and reliability in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, and experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Data Engineer.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing principles and Data Modelling (Data Vault, Star schemas, Slow Changing Dimensions).
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Experience with one cloud provider: Azure, Google Cloud or AWS.

• At Carrefour, Orange Business ensures the seamless operation and evolution of the Data Platform, managing both analytical and operational data flows with a focus on reliability and performance. We handle diverse workloads, including batch and stream processing. By processing everyday terabytes of data that feed dashboards and web APIs, we empower Carrefour to leverage data-driven insights and support their business growth.
• Big Pharma International Company: Orange Business migrated a Drug Discovery Data Platform hosted on-premises from a Hadoop stack to Azure. During the migration, we improved various data flows to reduce processing time, implemented proactive data quality checks, and optimized the CI/CD pipelines. Our efforts resulted in a more efficient and reliable platform, allowing scientists to quickly and safely assess the potential of tested molecules for new drugs development.
• For Paradigm, Orange Business created a data platform and a unified set of tools for all public sector to conduct data projects, with a focus on Kubernetes and DevOps processes to enable self-service and standardization. We were able to handle many projects from all administrations, ranging from API management to data processing & analytics, as well as data science modelling.

What You’ll Do:

As Data Engineer, your role will involve development, data modelling, unit testing and, continuous deployment using the latest technologies related to Cloud solutions.

• Lead the Way: Use an analytical, data-driven approach to support business cases.
• Engage with Stakeholders and Get Creative: Work with clients and partners to design data pipelines and deliver insightful analytics while ensuring data integrity.
• Use your technical knowledge: implement effective solutions by leveraging top-notch technologies and automating key components of client’s infrastructure.
• Mentor and Collaborate: Possibility to give training in our Cloud and Data Academy or present advanced tech topics during Lunch & Learn session.

Your technical expertise:

• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, a related technical field
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Data Engineer
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing principles and Data Modelling (Data Vault, Star-schemas, Slow Changing Dimensions, …)
• A strong SQL knowledge
• Experience with one of the cloud provider: Azure, Google Cloud or AWS

It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:

• Knowledge of at least one programming language: Java, C#, Python, Scala…
• Knowledge of continuous developments / deployment concepts & technologies (GIT, Azure DevOps, Gitlab, CircleCI, ...)
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell)
• Knowledge of Unix environments
