As a Data Engineer at itsme®, you will help build and scale the data platform that sits at the heart of our organization — the single source of truth that every other team relies on. You will design the pipelines that move data from our source systems into a robust, well-modelled platform, and lay the groundwork for advanced capabilities. • Implement data quality, monitoring, and observability so that pipelines are reliable, testable, and trustworthy.

  • Leverage a state of the art data platform to support advanced use cases such as fraud signals, behavioural insights, and machine learning.

  • Apply solid engineering practices: version control, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and clear documentation.

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3–4 years of professional experience as a data engineer or in a closely related role, preferably in the software industry.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark and SQL, with experience building production-grade data pipelines.

  • Hands-on experience with a modern cloud data platform, experience with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric (or comparable tools such as Azure DF, Synapse, Snowflake,) is a strong plus.

  • Experience with both batch and streaming data processing; familiarity with event streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming).

  • Comfortable with software engineering best practices: Git, CI/CD (Github), testing, and infrastructure-as-code.

  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and privacy considerations, especially relevant in a digital identity or financial industry context.

  • Experience with Power BI or other BI tooling is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid or remote setup.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an international, multi-disciplinary environment.
