Job summary

TALEO Consulting Group is seeking a Business Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team for a client project in Brussels. You will gather and analyse business needs, translate them into functional requirements and acceptance criteria, and document metrics in a data glossary.

You will define KPIs, data models and governance processes, and build dashboards in Power BI or Tableau to enable self-service analytics for business users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, information systems or data analytics.
• 3+ years as a Business Analyst, BI analyst or data analyst, ideally in financial services.
• Advanced SQL and strong understanding of data modelling; experience with Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata and governance; Collibra or similar is a plus.
• Experience with agile delivery and cross-functional programmes.
• Fluent in English, with Dutch or French.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business needs from stakeholders and translate them into functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Define metrics, KPIs and business rules, and document them in a shared business glossary and data catalogue.
• Specify data models and reporting needs together with data engineers, and validate the results with the business.
• Build and maintain dashboards and management reports in Power BI, Tableau or similar tools, and enable self-service analytics.
• Run data quality checks and user acceptance tests, and follow up on issues until they are resolved.
• Support governance forums and cross-functional projects, preparing reports, presentations and management packs.
• Coach business users on data literacy and on the use of certified datasets.
