Job summary

AVENTA in Brussels is seeking a CRM Market Operator to join the Market Energy & CRM Operations team. You will manage CRM processes from prequalification to settlement, supporting auction activities and regulatory reporting.

Requirements include a Master’s degree and 2–5 years in operations or energy markets, with strong Excel, data analysis, and communication skills, and fluency in English plus French or Dutch. Hybrid, long-term assignment in Brussels.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, economics, business administration, finance, data analytics or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in operations, process management, consulting, business analysis, energy markets or similar analytical environment.
• Knowledge of the energy sector or electricity markets is a plus.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills; good command of Word and PowerPoint; Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute CRM operational processes: prequalification, financial securities, secondary market, availability monitoring and settlement.
• Analyse technical, financial and operational dossiers submitted by capacity providers and turn findings into recommendations.
• Prepare, validate and report CRM auction and settlement activities, including KPI reporting and impact assessments.
• Produce periodic and ad-hoc reports on CRM functioning and results for internal use and regulator.
• Handle operational questions from market participants and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure CRM processes are applied accurately and involve the right departments.
• Build expertise on CRM market rules, regulatory requirements and procedures.
• Support user acceptance testing and validation of new functionalities.
