Overview

ETNIC (Enterprise for Information and Communication Technologies) is the IT operator of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. A public interest organization, ETNIC’s mission is to design, develop, maintain and evolve information systems and technological infrastructures serving the administrations and establishments of the FWB. ETNIC operates in areas such as IT infrastructure management (networks, security, data centers, cloud), development of tailor-made business applications, support for digital projects (functional analysis, UX/UI, project management), cybersecurity and data protection, and user support and training. ETNIC collaborates with external partners through IT consultancy missions, within an ethical, professional framework aimed at quality and concrete impact of the solutions delivered.

In this context, ETNIC is strengthening its BI teams via a specialized SAP BusinessObjects consultancy mission, focused on ETL, data integration and reporting. The mission emphasizes technical and operational support for the SAP BusinessObjects platform, with a focus on SAP BODS, SQL, IDT universe and Web Intelligence, in a multi-source and multi-environment.

Responsibilities

• Data Integration & ETL – SAP BODS: Analyze data sources (DB2 LUW, DB2 UDB, SQL Server, flat files, CSV); design and develop ETL flows with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS): jobs, workflows and dataflows, mapping, transformation rules, error management; optimize performance (volumetry, parallelization); implement good industrialization practices: configuration, logs, incident recovery, technical documentation.
• SQL & Datawarehouse: Model and supply staging, ODS and data mart structures; SQL development including complex queries, views, functions and stored procedures if necessary; analyze and optimize SQL performance in relation to BODS processing.
• SAP BusinessObjects Universe – IDT: Design and maintenance of universes with Information Design Tool (IDT): semantic model, joins, contexts, calculated objects; optimize universes for efficient and robust use in Web Intelligence.
• Reporting – SAP Web Intelligence (WebI): Design and evolution of Web Intelligence reports (queries, variables, formulas, formatting); support and correction of existing reports; assist business users with data understanding and result interpretation.
• Environment management & documentation: Structured work on development, acceptance and production environments; participate in transport and production processes (ETL, universe, reports); comply with BI governance, security and traceability rules; document delivered solutions and transfer knowledge to internal teams.
