Job summary

BearingPoint Belgium is seeking a data governance consultant to help clients build data-driven cultures and governance frameworks. You will work with cross-functional teams to embed data and AI governance, deliver measurable business value, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration, client-facing delivery, and developing data capabilities across diverse industries, with growth opportunities and a supportive development path.

Qualifications

• MSc/MA in CS, Information Management or related field; 3–6 years experience.
• Fluent in English and French and/or Dutch.
• Experience with data governance and AI governance definition and implementation.
• Experience designing data governance solutions with at least one tool.
• Experience with data integration, data models, data architecture, BI and warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with Collibra, Snowflake, Informatica or Data Galaxy.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and strong communication skills.

Main responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include:

• Engaging with our clients to develop a data-driven culture.


• Embedding data- and AI related frameworks to help companies reach their strategic vision while delivering data-generated business value and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


• Embedding our best-in-class operating models and adapting them to support the data governance transformation projects that deliver true business value.


• Providing processes, methods, and tools to manage data assets.

Required experience and skills:

• MSc or MA in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Economics or comparable qualification, with 3 to 6 years experience.


• Fluent in English and French and/or Dutch.


• Knowledge and practical expertise in data governance and AI governance definition and implementation.


• Experience with designing and implementing data governance solutions (practical expertise in at least one tool).


• Experience with data integration, data models, data architecture, data quality, data profiling, metadata management, BI and data warehousing, next Gen Data Platforms.


• Practical expertise in at least one of the following tools (Collibra, Snowflake, Informatica, Data Galaxy,...).


• Experience with regulatory requirements.


• Strong presentation and communication skills towards both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Programming skills is a plus.


• A team player that is customer-success-oriented.
