In coordination with HR and partnering with Finance and Legal, you will analyse and optimise compensation structures, ensure legal compliance, and drive the integration of new policies and programs to support a growing organisation. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on C&B experience in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, with some additional Northern European exposure.

What you do
Global Job Architecture & European Pay Transparency

  • Evaluate and integrate new roles or changes in job architecture,
  • Provide guidance on country‑specific applications of global compensation policies, accounting for local nuances and market competitiveness.
  • Drive gender neutrality in pay and perform gap analyses to identify and address discrepancies within and between countries.
  • Develop and implement European pay transparency policies in alignment with local labour laws and global standards.
Policy, Compliance & Annual Review
  • Review, create, and revise local compensation policies, ensuring consistency across geographies and alignment with the company’s growth strategy and evolving regulations.
  • Stay current with changes in labour laws, tax policies, and relevant legislation; implement local legal changes (pensions, healthcare, life cover, etc.) applying global governance.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance in the management of compensation and benefits data.
  • Maintain clear documentation of all policies, processes, and compliance requirements for audit and legal readiness.
  • Conduct annual reviews of salary benchmarks, gender pay audits, and compensation structures; adjust based on market conditions and regulatory changes.
  • Support growth‑related due diligence and TUPE processes.
Training & Development
  • Deliver training programs to educate managers and HR teams on compensation practices, pay transparency, and policy changes.
  • Regularly update training materials to reflect regulatory and process changes.
Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Business, Finance, Legal, and HR teams to align compensation structures with business strategy, budget setting, and tax optimisation.
  • Manage internal communications on compensation, benefits, and new policies in collaboration with the Global C&B Team, ensuring clarity for all stakeholders.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on job architecture, pay transparency, and tax optimisation.
  • Support business growth by anticipating compensation implications of expansion and role changes.
Compensation & Benefits Optimisation
  • Develop tax optimisation strategies, including flexible benefits, pension contributions, social security, and other benefits across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor the competitiveness of bonus structures and target practices, ensuring alignment with company culture and market trends.
  • Collaborate with leadership on salary scales and cost implications tied to new hires and role progression; conduct salary benchmarking for blue‑collar populations.
  • Contribute to the budget‑setting process, ensuring C&B considerations are incorporated into financial planning.
  • Oversee AIP (Annual Incentive Plan) and local incentives, ensuring transparent calculations and competitive alignment.
  • Monitor employee benefits and work with external brokers on annual renewals, proposing cost‑mitigation strategies where appropriate.
