As part of a consulting team supporting this shift, I contribute to building safer, more reliable, and future‑ready industrial infrastructures.

I support the commissioning and start‑up of large‑scale industrial steam networks, ensuring systems are properly tested, validated, and prepared for safe and efficient operation.

We are looking for an Industrial Engineer Consultant to play a key role in the commissioning and start‑up of large‑scale industrial steam networks, driving safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

What you will do

• Prepare commissioning activities by reviewing P&IDs, technical documentation, and developing procedures, test protocols, and checklists
• Execute on‑site pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases (flushing, pressure testing, leak checks, functional testing of valves, pipelines, and instrumentation)
• Support start‑up of steam and condensate systems and monitor system performance during ramp‑up
• Troubleshoot process, equipment, and control system issues in collaboration with engineering and operations teams
• Validate system performance (pressure, temperature, flow) and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and smooth handover to operations teams

What you will bring

• Language proficiency: you must be Fluent in Dutch+ English (French is a plus)

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (mechanics, electromechanics, chemical, energy, automation) or equivalent.
• Between 1 and 5 years of experience in industrial engineering projects.
• Basic knowledge of thermodynamics (steam systems) and industrial piping/processes.
• Ability to read P&IDs and process flow diagrams
• Familiarity with valves, instrumentation, piping.
• Comfortable working on‑site in industrial environments with strong HSE awareness
• Good communication and teamwork (engineers, operators, contractors)
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English

Nice to have

• Exposure to commissioning, operations, or industrial projects is a plus
• Knowledge of automation, instrumentation, or control systems.
