Xintas in Belgium is seeking a seasoned mainframe developer to join our IT team. You will work with COBOL, PL/I, EGL, DB2, and Changeman, translating business needs into robust designs while collaborating with IT and business colleagues.

You will participate in an on-call rota, work independently, and quickly adapt to our complex financial environment, communicating clearly in Dutch and English. Experience with IDz Workbench and GitHub-based CI/CD is advantageous.

Formación

• Strong technical experience in a mainframe environment, including COBOL, PL/I, EGL, DB2, IDz Workbench, GitHub-based CI/CD and Changeman.
• Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical designs.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
• Able to work independently, quickly get up to speed both technically and functionally, and remain open to new ideas and ways of working.
• A team player who works well with both IT and business colleagues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and in a structured way.
• Comfortable working in a complex environment that requires close coordination with a range of stakeholders.
• Experience in financial markets and investments is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English are essential in this international environment.
