A machining company in Newark is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to program, setup, and operate machinery for various jobs. The role requires precision measurement and the ability to lift heavy objects. In addition, the candidate will perform inspections and maintain equipment. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Setup and program machinery
• Identify material to be cut
• Use of precision measuring devices such as calipers & micrometers
• Accurately read a tape measure and drawings
• Lift and move heavy objects (50lb+)
• Load material by lifting material into position using crane when necessary
• Use grinder to grind edges of material
• Inspect cut products ensuring the accuracy
• Maintain equipment
• Keep work area clean
• Work efficiently and safely to ensure jobs are completed meeting deadlines
• Assist co-workers when needed and be a team player
• Perform other reasonable tasks when necessary as requested by supervisors
