Job summary

Work Life Group is seeking a Cloud Engineer to own a Brussels-based environment for a multinational defence HQ. The role collaborates with a software engineer, data scientist and threat researchers to keep the threat intelligence platform fast, secure and cost-effective.

You will maintain multi-account AWS infrastructure, implement Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and automation for containerised workloads on ECS, while ensuring security with IAM, SSO and network controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field with strong systems engineering content.
• 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years with recognised certifications.
• Hands-on AWS experience and Terraform proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Keep a multi-account AWS environment stable, secure and available.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and automate containerised workloads on ECS.
• Run monitoring, logging and alerting; manage IAM, SSO and VPC networking.
• Move platform from AWS to Azure and document the work clearly.

A multinational defence headquarters in Brussels is looking for a cloud engineer to own the environmentits cyber threat intelligence team works on, alongside a software engineer, a data scientist andthreat researchers.

What you would be doing

• Keeping a multi-account AWS environment stable, secure and available
• Building and maintaining infrastructure as code with Terraform
• Setting up CI/CD pipelines and automating containerised workloads on ECS
• Running monitoring, logging and alerting, and managing IAM, SSO and VPC networking
• Finding better ways to handle security, data flows and cost
• Helping move the platform from AWS to Azure, and documenting the work clearly

What you would bring

• A degree in a quantitative field with strong systems engineering content and 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of similar work plus recognised certifications
• Hands-on AWS: Lambda, S3, CloudTrail, ECS, EC2 and the Well-Architected Framework
• Significant Terraform experience and CI/CD pipeline work
• Least-privilege security with GuardDuty, IAM and SSO
• Python and Bash, Docker, Linux administration and Git
• A plus: Azure, and experience in cyber security or intelligence work
