Job summary

Orange Business seeks a Cloud Data Architect to drive the data strategy and scale data solutions. You will lead end-to-end data platform design, build robust pipelines, and mentor a team of Data Engineers while engaging with clients to align data initiatives with business goals.

You will work in a hybrid setup with a Brussels office, leveraging modern cloud technologies and a strong DevOps culture to deliver impactful data projects across industries.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field and 5+ years of data ICT project experience.
• Experience delivering modern data platform architectures end-to-end.
• Strong data modeling, relational and NoSQL knowledge.
• Hands-on with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Google).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Synapse).
• Advanced SQL skills and orchestration tools (DBT/Dataform).
• Programming in Python/Scala/Java; strong DevOps mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of modern data platform architectures.
• Develop robust data pipelines and storage with focus on performance and security.
• Mentor and guide Data Engineers for project success.
• Partner with clients to define data-driven solutions and strategy.
• Stay current with industry trends and certifications for best practices.
• Work with technologies like Kafka, Spark, DBT, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse, Databricks, Airflow.
