Job summary

Sagacify, part of Craftzing, is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to bridge hands-on AI engineering with client collaboration. You’ll work on LLMs, agents and RAG pipelines, designing production‑grade solutions that deliver real business value.

Join a multidisciplinary team, report to the Head of ML and collaborate with delivery and sales. The role emphasizes client impact, learning, and a pragmatic, problem‑driven mindset in a hybrid Belgium-based setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• 2–5 years in AI/ML engineering or related roles.
• Proficient in Python and software development best practices.
• Solid ML fundamentals: supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, model validation.
• Hands-on with Python stack: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch (or TensorFlow).
• Understanding of LLMs: Transformers, RAG and fine‑tuning approaches.
• Experience with OpenAI API, Hugging Face, LangChain/LangGraph, FastAPI and Docker.
• SQL data handling and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients' business needs and translate into end‑to‑end AI solutions.
• Act as a trusted client contact from scoping to delivery.
• Run discovery sessions and technical workshops with stakeholders.
• Design and build AI solutions using LLMs, vector databases, APIs and UIs.
• Develop agents and RAG pipelines connecting client data to LLMs.
• Prompt engineering to improve output quality and reduce hallucinations.
• Build and evaluate ML models when suitable for the problem.
• Handle data gathering, cleaning, quality checks and feature engineering.
• Evaluate solutions with ML and generative AI metrics; monitor production.
• Deploy to cloud with versioning and reproducibility; ensure security and cost efficiency.
• Explain AI concepts and results to non-technical audiences.
• Support sales with effort estimation and proposals; contribute to demos.
