HumanInTech is seeking a CI/CD & DevOps professional to professionalise the CI/CD approach for a Belgian public-sector IT department. You will map, standardise and implement reusable tooling, while guiding teams through a structured transition and delivering documentation to monitor progress.

The role requires 3–5 years of CI/CD/DevOps experience, Docker, cloud automation (Azure/AWS) and ELK, with strong communication skills and Dutch or French language proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years leading CI/CD implementations in complex environments.
• Minimum 3 years building CI/CD pipelines in DevOps teams.
• 2 years' experience in cloud automation (Azure and/or AWS).
• 3 years' experience with Docker.
• 1 year with ELK stack.
• SCA/SAST integration experience is a plus.
• Active knowledge of Dutch or French; English helpful.

What you will do

You will work with the IT department of a Belgian public-sector organisation to professionalise their CI/CD approach. Your mission is to bring structure, standardisation and quality to their software integration and deployment processes.

Your responsibilities include:

• Mapping existing CI/CD initiatives and processes across the organisation
• Identifying best practices from current initiatives and combining them with market standards to define a CI/CD standard that will be monitored and enforced
• Setting up the necessary reusable tooling
• Developing a step-by-step action plan with each team, starting with the largest or most recent initiatives, to ensure a smooth transition
• Creating documentation on the standard and tracking progress of the transition
• Supporting and guiding development teams through the transition
• Taking on leadership responsibilities, steering automation efforts and participating in building automation processes, environments and scripts that guarantee the highest software quality
• Communicating implementation plans, issues, delays and risks related to CI/CD automation to project teams, management and other stakeholders

What we are looking for

You have solid experience in CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices:

• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience as responsible for CI/CD implementations in similar projects or complex environments
• Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps teams building CI/CD pipelines
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience working with continuous delivery environments, specifically integrating automation tools such as Sonar and Selenium with other tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or Azure DevOps
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Docker
• Minimum 1 year of experience with automation in cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
• Minimum 1 year of experience with the ELK stack
• Experience with integration through pipelines of SCA (for example CAST Highlight) and SAST tools is an asset

Beyond technical expertise, you bring strong soft skills:

• Solid communication and change management skills when working with development teams, infrastructure teams and management
• Professional experience with tools such as MS Teams, Jira and Confluence for collaboration and knowledge sharing

You have an active knowledge of Dutch or French. English is a nice to have.

The setting

This assignment runs from October to the end of December 2027 (308 hours during the last quarter). An optional extension is foreseen for 2028, with a maximum of 1760 hours, subject to approval.

The role is based in Brussels and follows a hybrid working model.

You will start on 1 October 2027.
