Job summary

MC Expert in Brussels is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to guard the IT environment against cyber threats and ensure resilience across the enterprise. The role leads security strategy, governance, and risk management, aligning with business priorities.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in enterprise IT and 5+ years in information security, with relevant certifications and knowledge of NIS2. Hybrid work in Brussels is offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT.
• At least 5 years of experience in information systems security.
• Knowledge of IT security controls, cryptography and incident response.
• Familiarity with NIS2 directive and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Takes charge of federal audits regarding IT security
• Writing and monitoring security policies and procedures
• Identifies, evaluates, and reports IT risks to management
• Strengthens the culture and awareness of cybersecurity among employees
• Manages security incidents with IT and communicates with management and federal authorities
• Organizes periodic checks on security measures in place
• Main contact for cybersecurity with federal authorities
