Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Head of Data Science & Credit Risk in Belgium to lead ML-powered underwriting and risk decisioning across markets. You own the full lifecycle of risk models, from development to monitoring and measurable business impact.

You will build and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists and risk analysts while collaborating with Engineering, Product, Finance, and executive stakeholders to translate analytics into practical decisions that

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data science, ML and consumer credit risk in fintech or related fields.
• Proven track record leading policies and portfolios at scale across multiple markets.
• Production ML: deployment, monitoring and real-time decisioning experience.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills; cloud data platforms familiarity.

Responsabilités

• Lead ML model design, testing, deployment and improvement for credit decisioning, fraud detection, risk segmentation and monetization.
• Develop underwriting algorithms using alternative data sources.
• Build real-time scoring models across markets and products.
• Ensure models are interpretable, robust and well-governed with monitoring for drift and performance.
• Establish strong MLOps practices for experimentation, versioning and deployment.
• Develop and manage credit risk frameworks, policies, and segmentation strategies.
• Monitor portfolio health and early-warning indicators; drive strategy and KPIs.
• Lead stress testing and provisioning with Finance; align with regulatory requirements.
• Build localized risk models to support market expansion; collaborate with stakeholders.
