ictjob.be is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineering Lead to shape and scale a modern data ecosystem for a leading Belgian healthcare organization. You will design and oversee robust data pipelines, data lake/warehouse solutions, and data governance practices.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL/Python, and hands-on experience with Azure/AWS, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, and ETL/ELT architectures. English is mandatory, Dutch/French are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL and Python expertise.
• Experience with Spark, Hive or similar Big Data technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services and/or AWS.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and cloud-based data architectures.
• Understanding of Data Quality, CI/CD and DevOps principles for data platforms.
• English proficiency (mandatory).
• Dutch and/or French is considered a strong asset.

Are you an experienced Data Engineer ready to help shape and scale a modern data ecosystem built on Microsoft Fabric, Azure and advanced analytics platforms? We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineering Lead to help build and scale a modern data ecosystem for one of Belgium's leading healthcare organizations.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and integrations
• Developing scalable Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Data Mart solutions
• Implementing data quality, monitoring and observability practices
• Supporting BI, Analytics and Data Science teams with trusted datasets
• Driving data engineering standards, best practices and architecture decisions
• Coaching and mentoring teams while contributing to the long-term data roadmap

What we're looking for
