EngiFlex in Olen, Belgium, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex industrial CAPEX initiatives across production, infrastructure and R&D, from concept through commissioning and handover. This role covers new installations and significant modifications to process-industry assets.

You will own scope, budget and baseline planning in MS Project, coordinate all phases, and serve as the single accountable point to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading industrial CAPEX projects.
• 7+ years as Project Engineer in mechanical, electrical, piping or civil.
• Experience with pre-feasibility and concept studies.
• Experience with CAPEX budgeting and investment approvals.
• Experience commissioning industrial installations.
• Mandatory process industry experience.
• MS Project proficiency including planning ownership.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; on-site Olen presence.

Responsabilités

• Take end-to-end ownership of industrial CAPEX projects from concept to handover.
• Define and manage scope, budget, business case, and baseline planning in MS Project.
• Coordinate pre-study to handover phases: design, procurement, construction, commissioning.
• Act as single point of accountability for stakeholders.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, automation, piping, civil, EHS).
• Manage scope changes, risks, and deviations impacting budget or schedule.
• Report progress and decisions to steering committees and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure quality and safety standards throughout execution.

Tasks and responsibilities

You will lead complex, multidisciplinary industrial CAPEX projects in production, infrastructure and R&D environments, covering the full lifecycle from concept and feasibility through commissioning and handover. The scope includes both new installations and major modifications to existing process-industry assets.

• Take end-to-end ownership of industrial engineering projects from concept and feasibility to commissioning and operational handover.
• Define and manage project scope, deliverables, budget, business case, investment approval and baseline planning in MS Project.
• Coordinate all project phases: pre-study, concept selection, basic and detailed engineering, procurement, contractor selection, construction, site execution, commissioning and handover.
• Act as the single point of accountability for stakeholders and management.
• Lead multidisciplinary internal and external teams across mechanical, electrical, automation, piping, civil and EHS.
• Manage scope changes, risks, claims and deviations affecting budget or schedule.
• Report progress, issues and decisions to steering committees and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained throughout execution.

Your profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Project Manager with proven A-Z ownership of industrial CAPEX projects.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Project Engineer in disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, piping or civil.
• Demonstrated experience with pre-feasibility and concept studies.
• Demonstrated experience with CAPEX budgeting and investment approval.
• Demonstrated experience with commissioning industrial installations.
• Mandatory experience in the process industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with MS Project, including ownership of project planning.
• Academic working level with strong analytical skills and helicopter view.
• You work autonomously, take full ownership and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• You have the authority to challenge stakeholders and contractors in complex industrial environments.
• VCA-Vol is mandatory; PMP or Prince2 is a plus.
• Fluent Dutch and English are required.
• On-site presence in Olen is required.
