Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk seeks a project engineer – calculation to analyze, size, and optimize mechanical and thermodynamic subsystems across the full product lifecycle, from concept to series production. You will build virtual models and support CFD/FEA teams by defining boundary conditions and evaluating simulation outcomes.

You will work in a hybrid facility setup, define test programs, monitor prototype testing, analyze field data, and apply ISO, CE, PED and ASME standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong foundation in thermodynamics and mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, size, and optimize mechanical and thermodynamic subsystems across the product lifecycle.
• Develop virtual models toward digital twins and support CFD/FEA teams.
• Define boundary conditions and evaluate simulation outcomes.
• Define test programs and monitor prototype testing.
• Analyze field installation data and apply standards (ISO, CE, PED, ASME).
