Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk seeks a project engineer for calculations to size and optimize thermodynamic and mechanical subsystems. You will run simulations, define boundary conditions, and develop virtual models toward digital twins, collaborating with CFD/FEA teams and internal stakeholders.

You will work in a hybrid setup at the Wilrijk facility, applying ISO/CE/PED/ASME standards and driving data-backed improvements across projects with global teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge in thermodynamics and mechanical design.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is a plus.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
• Ability to define boundary conditions for CFD/FEA and build digital twins.

Responsabilités

• Define technical specifications for mechanical and thermodynamic systems.
• Run calculations to accelerate machine design and develop virtual models toward digital twins.
• Collaborate with CFD/FEA teams and define boundary conditions.
• Define test programs and monitor prototype testing.
• Analyze field data and apply ISO, CE, PED, ASME standards.
