EMW seeks an Engineer (CIS Security) to support infrastructure security implementations in Mons, Belgium. The role requires NATO SECRET clearance and hands-on Linux, automation, and IaC experience. You will ensure secure configurations, monitor systems, and address vulnerabilities in a hybrid-cloud/On-Prem environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work on-site full-time with NATO security clearance.

Qualifications

• Active NATO SECRET security clearance is required.
• Knowledge of computer and network security fundamentals.
• Hands-on Linux OS experience and hardening concepts.
• Infrastructure as code and automation tooling experience.
• Security solutions for hybrid-cloud, SASE, and on-prem DMZ.
• Cyber hygiene practices and CIS controls.
• Strong systems administration and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Duties & Role:

• Provide support for project implementation, and delivery of infrastructure security solutions
• Ensure the stability and performance of deployed systems, services and applications post-implementation, through continuous monitoring and addressing any emerging issues in a timely manner
• Apply approved security configurations (hardening settings), and continuously maintain the security posture of the infrastructure elements
• Contribute to remediation of CIS security findings for infrastructure elements
• Plan, deploy, and configure a variety of hardware, software, and security products;
• Perform other duties as may be required

Requirements

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Knowledge of the principles of computer and communication security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications
• Knowledge of and proven experience with linux OS, infrastructure as code and automation tools
• Knowledge of security technologies and solutions specific to hybrid-cloud, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and On‑Premise DMZ capabilities
• Experience with Cyber Hygiene and the Critical Security Controls for effective cyber defence
• Practical hands‑on experience with systems administration
• Ability to investigate and analyse complex scenarios and solve problems in innovative ways
