Axis Group - HR Advisor is seeking a Freelance Business Expert in Antwerp for a minimum of 6 months with potential extension. The role covers investment loans, lending risk management, and process optimization across multiple teams, including IT, risk, compliance, finance, and operations.

You will develop training programs, draft credit documents, and guide the Target Operating Model setup for commercial lending, delivering insights from the full credit cycle.

Are you the Freelance Business Expert our client is looking for? In this role, you’ll provide advice on investment loans and collaborate with various teams to ensure the quality and consistency of processes. Drawing on your experience in lending and risk management, you’ll develop training programs and implement innovative processes. You’ll be working for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of an extension, and will earn an attractive, competitive daily rate.

• You provide advice on product structure, pricing, and risk and compliance requirements.
• You review business requirements and user stories.
• You collaborate with the IT, risk, compliance, finance, and operations teams.
• You ensure consistency across end-to-end processes.
• You will develop and implement knowledge transfer and training programs for relevant teams, such as Credit Approval, Credit Management, and Risk Monitoring.
• You will guide the change process and serve as the point of contact for questions from the business.
• You draft credit documents, such as credit agreements and credit application forms.
• You provide advice on setting up the Target Operating Model (TOM) for commercial lending.

• You have extensive expertise in professional lending, with a strong focus on investment loans for businesses.
• You have experience with the entire credit cycle, from credit applications and financial analysis (balance sheets, cash flow, and business plans) to approval and follow-up.
• You have a thorough understanding of credit risk analysis and risk management, including scoring models, risk ratios, portfolio monitoring, and stress testing.
• You have experience managing collateral such as mortgages and movable property guarantees, sureties, and credit documentation.
• You are familiar with covenant management, monitoring processes, early warning signals, restructurings, forbearance, and default management.
• You have a strong understanding of the regulatory framework and related reporting requirements, including NBB, AnaCredit, EBA/ESRB, and IFRS 9 provisioning.
• You have at least 7 years of relevant experience, combined with strong analytical skills, change management experience, and excellent communication skills.
