eXalt Belgium is seeking a Business Analyst specialized in Energy & Utilities to connect business needs with IT solutions. You will gather requirements from the field, map processes, and work with IT to implement changes that improve efficiency and compliance. Strong stakeholder communication and market understanding are essential.

The role offers a hybrid setup in Brussels with partial remote options, and requires fluency in English plus Dutch or French. Relevant certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in the Energy & Utilities industry.
• Solid understanding of the Belgian energy market and regulatory framework.
• Proficiency in UML and BPMN with strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Gather business requirements directly from the field via interviews, workshops and user stories.
• Map existing processes to identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with IT teams to build technology solutions aligned with business goals.

Your mission: bring high-impact projects to life in an energy sector undergoing constant transformation.In concrete terms, you will:* Gather business requirements directly from the field, through interviews, workshops, and user stories.* Use data to gain a deep understanding of business processes and trace issues back to their root causes.* Map existing processes to identify optimization opportunities.* Work hand in hand with IT teams to build technology solutions aligned with business goals.* Bridge the gap between stakeholders to ensure buy-in around proposed solutions.* Actively contribute to testing and validation phases, all the way through to go-live.## Preferred ExperienceMust have:* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.* Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in the Energy & Utilities industry.* Solid understanding of the Belgian energy market: Distribution Grid Operators, the value chain, the regulatory framework, and the energy transition (MIG6, GDPR, CREG...).* Proficiency in business analysis tools and methods (UML, BPMN), combined with strong communication skills, whether dealing with technical or non-technical stakeholders.* You're based in Belgium, comfortable in English both spoken and written, and have at least a professional level of Dutch (or French).Nice to have:* Good knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.* An interest in Data (SQL, MS Access, PowerBI).* Familiarity with sector-specific IT systems: Salesforce CRM, SAP ISU, Central Market System, Mecoms.* An IREB, ECBA, or CBAP certification.## Additional Information* Contract Type: **Full-Time*** Location: **Bruxelles*** **Possible partial remote*** Salary: **40000€ / year**
