Osborne Clarke Belgium has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our international law firm as a BD & Marketing Executive on a 7‑month maternity cover basis, with potential conversion into a full‑time position at the end of the maternity cover period. The role is expected to start in November, with the exact start date to be agreed.

This will be a busy, hands‑on role in which you will provide essential support and assistance to our fee earners, ensuring the end-to-end delivery of a range of business development and marketing activities for our Brussels office. You will work closely with, and report to, the Senior BD & Marketing Consultant in Brussels, and collaborate with our international BD and marketing teams.

About you

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Previous experience in a law firm or multinational is a plus;
• Comfortable working independently, prioritising tasks, and meeting deadlines;
• Have the ability to stay calm and work under pressure;
• An analytical eye enabling you to critically review information and improve it based on best practice experience and guidance;
• Excellent attention to detail and visual branding, enabling you to efficiently produce high quality, accurate and consistent output;
• Exceptional organisational skills;
• You are proactive and assertive;
• Good communicative and interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships at all levels;
• The ability to work as part of a (international) team;
• Evidence of professional digital marketing experience is an advantage;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and a willingness to learn how to master other programmes/software;
• Experience with CRM tools (InterAction and Introhive), content management systems (CMS), and other BD or marketing tools is a plus;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, with strong drafting skills across a range of formats. Preferably French native speaker. A good command of Dutch is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare pitches/bids and ensure that our credentials are up to date and reflect the strengths of our law firm;
• Maintain the BD & Marketing databases of pitches, credentials and BD templates for internal and external use;
• Support the Business Support team in executing best practices for updating and using our CRM system (InterAction);
• Prepare and follow‑up of BD and marketing campaigns, client seminars/events, CRM actions and other BD and marketing projects of the firm in Belgium;
• Proactively analyse the market and help with understanding our client base. Propose new ideas to help enhance our growth;
• Assist with and coordinate submissions to legal directories for all teams annually;
• Drafting and coordinating internal communications;
• Supporting the production and publication of marketing and communications content via newsletters, social media and the Osborne Clarke website, including client‑facing materials, website content and social media posts;
• Monitoring EU legislative and regulatory events and supporting the drafting and distribution of communication materials on the topic;
• Build relationships with our international BD and marketing teams and look for opportunities to improve collaboration;
• Work closely with and report to theSenior BD & Marketing Consultant to deliver high‑quality BD and marketing initiatives.
