MPL is seeking a Business Data Analyst for its Antwerp procurement team. You will analyze and interpret data to support strategic decisions and enhance procurement efficiency using Excel and Power BI.

You will collect, analyze, and report data to guide negotiations and optimization of procurement strategies, communicating insights to internal and external stakeholders with clarity.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills are required.
• Strong analytical abilities with the ability to translate data into insights.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

As a Business Data Analyst in our Procurement Department, you will play a key role in analyzing and interpreting data to support strategic decisions and to enhance the efficiency of our procurement processes. We are seeking a talented and passionate professional proficient in using Excel and Power BI to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights that add value to our procurement strategies.

In your role you will collect, analyze, and interpret data to streamline the negotiation processes. You will also contribute to the development and optimization of procurement strategies based on data-driven insights. Your reports generated with your insights will contribute to taking data‑driven strategic decisions. You are expected to engage in effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal parties such as colleagues and senior management, as well as external partners like suppliers and customers.

• You hold a master's degree in relevant fields, such as Data Science, Business Analytics, or a similar qualification, or you have achieved this level through experience.


• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills are required in combination with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and translate complex data sets into actionable insights.


• With your communication skills you have the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Experience within the logistics sector or the shipping industry is a plus!


• Hands‑on experience as a data analyst: either professionally or project‑based during studies or extracurricular projects.


• You are pragmatic and result driven. You are fluent in Dutch and English.


• You can easily settle into an environment where decisions are made quickly, where open communication prevails and where you draw energy from success.
