AlmavivA de Belgique is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to align business needs with IT solutions in a Brussels-based team. You will elicit, validate, and document requirements, translate them into BRDs and user stories, and support acceptance testing with clear criteria.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across functions, map current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure traceability of deliverables while communicating in multilingual settings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate business context, drivers, and expected outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Elicit, validate, and document business needs using structured techniques to ensure clarity and traceability.
• Assess current and target business models to identify value streams, capabilities, and operational impacts.
• Map and evaluate existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities using industry-standard techniques.
• Translating the business requirements to a business case and functional analysis, describing As Is vs To Be and providing a Fit-Gap analysis.
• Create visual representations of workflows using standard notations to support analysis, communication, and solution design.
• Compare current and desired states to identify capability gaps, improvement areas, and potential solutions.
• Convert business requirements into functional specifications that guide solution design and development.
• Identify, assess, and document risks related to business processes, systems, and change initiatives, including mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to strategic documentation that defines scope, objectives, value proposition, and governance for initiatives (e.g. business cases, vision documents, charters, and security plans).
• Develop clear deliverables such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and User Stories with acceptance criteria.
• Define and manage acceptance criteria; support test case design and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure requirements are met.
• Maintain requirements traceability (e.g., story/feature with test case) and manage change requests throughout the lifecycle.
• Document non-functional requirements (NFRs) (e.g., performance, security, usability) alongside functional requirements.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication among stakeholders, developers, and testers to ensure shared understanding and alignment.

Specific Expertise

• Good knowledge of information systems matters.
• Good knowledge of system to system integrations (APIs).
• Knowledge of analysis and modelling techniques, including user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, state diagrams, and entity relationship models.
• Good knowledge of BPMN or UML or other with equivalent value.
• Good knowledge of diagramming, modelling and wireframing tools (e.g. UML, BPMN, Microsoft Visio, Balsamiq, Lucidchart, Axure, Pencil).
• Experience with collaboration platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of software development and governance methodologies, including Agile, SAFE, Scrum, and ITIL.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as Jira or GitLab, including backlog practices (epics, user stories).

Skills

• Ability to onboard quickly, understand context, and contribute with minimal supervision.
• Capacity in preparing business analysis deliverables while facilitating stakeholder input.
